Dark Knight

I have been watching Batman’s every move very closely, be it on cartoon network which used to air Batman The Animated Series or the old batman movies on star movies.I somehow felt he existed in real. Finally, I have watched Dark Knight. But unlike most of you, I had to watch it after few weeks of its release for whatever reasons.

I am glad that I watched it late, coz atleast till then the pleasure of batman being my favorite superhero remained with me, I don’t know when and how he became my favorite. Maybe I liked him coz he was the only superhero in Justice League with no actual super powers.But now after watching the movie ,I can no more say that he is my favorite. No, it doesn’t mean that I like Joker now.

In every review that I’ve read of this movie, ppl have all the praises for Heath Ledger. But for me it was not Heath Ledger, it was the Joker. It was his madful madness and his painful pain. The pleasure he derives in destruction shows what this world can make out of a small boy.But as somebody rightly said, just coz somebody has done wrong to you doesn’t give you an excuse to do wrong things.

I was shocked and embarrased at myself when I laughed at the way joker presses the last button to blow up a hospital.This is what joker has done to all of us. He has made us all ,an accomplice.

Having known joker and his ways for so long, anything less than that from Heath Ledger would have been disappointing.
As for Batman, one more time he has proved that he is bad with choices.
A man with a mask can never be a hero.
